Revista/Journal of Latin American Studies

Américas

Our mission is to provide a multi-disciplinary forum for undergraduate and graduate students at various universities to submit papers, articles, original fiction, artwork and any other forms of printed media pertaining to Latin America, its issues and its diaspora. This journal encompasses all fields of study and serves as a dynamic means to educate the Johns Hopkins and broader community on important issues affecting our world today.

Our Network

“Américas” works closely with the Program in Latin American Studies (PLAS), Organización Latina Estudiantil (OLE), and the Alumni Association to support and encourage the study of Latin American culture.

Making History at Hopkins

“Américas” is the first undergraduate journal ever published by Johns Hopkins undergraduates dedicated to exploring Latin culture in the Americas. Fall 2005 marks the first date of publication of this journal. We hope to continue publishing for many more years to come.  “Américas” has also received the Alumni Community Service grant every year, 2004-2009.
